One stop solution for magnetic products

A Halbach Array is an ingenious magnet arrangement structure. By arranging magnets with different magnetization directions in a specific pattern, it effectively “concentrates” the magnetic field to one side, generating the strongest possible one-sided magnetic field with the least amount of magnet material.
Core Function: One-Sided Magnetic Focusing
This arrangement produces a unique phenomenon: magnetic flux lines are highly concentrated on one side of the array, significantly boosting magnetic field strength on that side. On the opposite side, the magnetic field is largely canceled out, resulting in an extremely weak field.
This “one-sided focusing” offers several key advantages:
1. Stronger Magnetic Field: For the same magnet volume, the field strength on the focused side can reach approximately 1.4 times that of a conventional single magnet.
2. Lighter & More Compact: Since the magnetic field is efficiently concentrated, the magnetic circuit structure on the weak-field side (such as the rotor yoke in motors) can be greatly simplified or even eliminated, enabling equipment lightweighting.
3. Cleaner Waveform: The generated magnetic field waveform closely approximates an ideal sine wave, reducing energy loss and mechanical vibration in devices.

Major Application Fields
JMAG Software Simulation of Halbach Array
This simulation uses the latest JMAG v25.0 to analyze an 8-pole, 3-segment Halbach Array. Parameters including magnet inner/outer diameters, pole count, segment number, and magnetization direction are configured before solving. Results include magnetic flux line distribution and magnetic flux density comparison charts.
